The principle of sincerity in life
Good evening friends, how are you guys today, I hope you are doing well, so am I here. Tonight I want to write an article entitled "The principle of sincerity in life".
Sincerity is the spirit and principle of life that must be instilled in the heart of every human being. Because sometimes in a twist of life it is realized that there are many trials and obstacles that stand in the way. It is undeniable by every living being. It's just a matter of how to deal with it with grace and sincerity.
Sincerity is needed in everything we do and what we want to achieve. According to Al-Ustadz Abu Isma'il Muslim al-Atsari in his writings explains that etymologically sincerity is purifying, while in terms of syara' means purifying the intention in worshiping Allah swt, only to get His pleasure, waiting for the reward in the hereafter, and removing shirk intentions, such as riya', sum'ah, asking for praise, replies, thanks from God's creatures, and other worldly intentions.
In QS. Al-Bayyinah (98:5) the command to make sincere intentions for Allah is obligatory. As Allah says, "Even though they were not commanded, except to worship Allah by purifying obedience to Him in the straight religion, and so that they establish prayer and pay zakat; and that is the straight religion.”
So, we as people who are pious should have a sincere soul to be able to carry out a balance in our actions between the visible (dzahir) and the hidden (bathin). Pesantren has one of the five souls, namely the 'sincerity soul', where the entire community is educated not to expect anything in return and the intention is solely lillahi ta'ala.
If you want to be safe from deception, then be sincere in doing good because Allah SWT is accompanied by knowledge. And do not be willing in the least to your lust. One scholar said: "I saw as if I was tawaf in the Kaaba, to look for sincerity in myself. I was investigating that sincerity in my inner secret suddenly a voice directed at me, "How many times have you hesitated with people who doubt . Whereas I am All-Hearing, Most Near, All-Knowing, All-Watching? My knowledge suffices you from the knowledge of the first and last generations, apart from the knowledge of the Prophet and the Prophets." Sincerity has several categories: Sincere from a sincere person, then he is sincere with him and sincere for Him.
In this case it is divided into 2:
1. Sincerity of the "Sadiqin".
2. Sincerity of the "Shiddiqin".
Sincerity shadiqin is solely to get rewards and rewards, while sincerity of shiddiqin, is merely to see the form of Al-haq, as a goal, not focused on something on His side. So whoever's heart is visited by such sincerity, then he categorizes people who are excluded from the speech of His enemies, by His Word: "And surely they will mislead all of them, except Your sincere servants. (Q.S. Al-Hijr: 39-40).
Hopefully my article tonight can be useful for you.
