Introduction: When we hear the word superstar, the words of heroes, heroines, artists, players, etc. come to our memory. But who is the real superstar? There are two levels of human life. One is the life of this world, which is very short, and the other is the Hereafter, which is permanent. The real superstar is the one who values the eternal life or the life of the Hereafter more than the short life or the worldly life. And those who value trivial ephemeral rather than more permanent things, no matter how educated they may be, no matter how many degrees they hold, no one will call them smart or superstar. For example, there is a chair made of teak wood and another chair made of mango wood. Now the person who would prefer a short-lived mango tree chair over a long-lasting teak chair cannot be a true conscientious educated or a superstar even if he is educated. So the real superstars are the ones who give more importance to the eternal life than the temporary life despite the hardships. Now let's discuss who the people of our society think of as superstars.
Many people think that a superstar is a hero-heroine: if you ask many teenagers, young men and women about their favorite people, most of them will probably talk about a hero-heroine. But are they really superstars?
The Prophet (sm) said, ‘The fornication of two eyes is to see, the fornication of two ears is to hear, the fornication of the tongue is to speak, the fornication of the hands is to touch, the fornication of the feet is to walk in the way of fornication, the fornication of the heart. The place of shame proves its truth and falsehood '. [1] Allah says,' Do not approach jinn. This is an obscene and vile way '(Bani Isra'il, 32).
Dear reader! Tell me, according to the above hadith, the heroes and heroines who act are not included in the adultery? And according to the word of Allah, fornication is an obscene and vile way. So what makes those who are obscene and inferior, your superstars? Come on! We do not want to be like them, but we pray for those heroes and heroines, brothers and sisters, that they return to the path of God from this obscene and vile path.
Many people think that a superstar is a singer or a singer-songwriter: Many of the so-called modern boys and girls are singing today. Many of them are well-known vocalists. I am very ashamed and saddened to see the pity of many parents, not just children, who say, what if our children were famous artists like that? Today, parents are enrolling their children in music and dance institutions from an early age. Abu Umama (R) said, the Prophet (sm) said, ‘Do not sell singers or dancers, do not buy them, do not teach them music and musical instruments. Their earnings are haraam '. [2] According to the hadith of Allah's Messenger (sm) it is haraam to learn music. Those who teach music, their earnings are haraam. So how can singers be superstars in today's society? Dear guardian! Why are you, as a conscientious person, helping your children to follow the path of Haram ?! How are we, the boys and girls, pushing ourselves towards the path of haram day after day even after listening to haram music? Rather, I pray to Allah for those singers, may Allah guide us with them.
The players are considered by many to be superstars:
Boys and girls, especially boys, are very fond of players today. They love them so much or think they are superstars that they are imitating them in many ways including their hair style, dress style. They even put the flags of those players on the roof of their house and decorated their pictures in the house. Now looking at the football players we see, they play after the shorts, which are above the knee. So how can we call them superstars as a Muslim boy or girl or want to be like them? And my Muslim brothers, who have so many international football players in mind today, do they have a little bit of Islam in them? How do we want to follow in the footsteps of those who are misguided as superstars?
Now let's talk about cricketers. How can you consider a cricketer a superstar who has no trace of Islamic ideology? Whose style is wearing a dress under the ankles, what makes her your model ?! Whereas in the hadith, Abu Hurairah (R) said, the Prophet (sm) said, ‘Whoever proudly hangs his clothes under his ankles, Allah will not have mercy on him on the Day of Resurrection’. [3]
Moreover, they waste a lot of time playing these games. As a result, they cannot recite Allah's command salat or many cannot recite it at the right time. In addition, there is a lot of gambling in these sports. So why is our mind so anxious to be like those who are misguided today? Do you also want to go astray and suffer in your eternal hereafter? We at least pray for the players, may Allah guide them to the right path.
There may be many superstars in the minds of many others, but keep in mind that those who do not have the slightest trace of Islamic ideals, those whom Allah hates, cannot be considered by conscientious people to follow or become superstars. Rather, we pray to Allah for their guidance, so that He may guide them to the right path. Let's see, who is the real superstar?
The true superstar is the one on whom Allah is pleased:
The true superstar is the one whom Allah loves. The true model is the one who has good ideals. Abdullah Ibn Amr (R) said, the Prophet (sm) said, 'The best of you is the one who is the best in character'. [4] God-fearing '(Al-Hujurat, 13). Abu Huraira (R) said, the Prophet (sm) was asked, which man is the most respected? He said, ‘The one who fears Allah the most or is most pious is the most honored. [5]
Conclusion: From the words of the Qur'an and Hadith above, it is clear that a person who fears Allah and has a good character, no matter how uneducated he is, no matter how poor he is, is respected by Allah and he is a true superstar. So the superstar of our minds will be the one who fears Allah and whose character is beautiful. May Allah Almighty grant us the tawfiq of being a true superstar i.e. fearing Allah and possessing good character - Amen!
