In verse 148 of Surah Bakbara, the rules of performing prayers facing the Kaaba have been instructed. Not only in that verse but also in the next two verses. Because the content of the three revelations was the same and the purpose was different. In the verse, Allah calls upon the obedient to receive full grace by following His instructions. The purpose and content of these three instructions are summarized as follows: "And from wherever you come out, turn to the Sacred Mosque (Baitullah or Kaaba Sharif). That is the truth from your Lord. Allah is not indifferent to what you are doing. And (for the purpose of travel) no matter where you come from, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque (Baitullah i.e. Kaaba Sharif). And wherever you are, turn towards him (the Ka'bah) (for prayers) - turn away; So that no one among the people can argue with you except the transgressors; So do not fear them, but fear Me alone; So that I may bestow upon you My bounty in full, and that you may be guided to the right path. '(Surat al-Baqara: verses 149, 150) In the verses of Surah Bakbara (148-150), Allah Almighty urges the servant to perform the main acts of worship after the faith of the Muslims facing the Qibla. It had three motives. Imam Fakhruddin Razi Rahmatullahi Alaihi said in the context of giving three warnings: The first commandment was for those who see the Kaaba Sharif; The second commandment was for those who were in the holy city of Makkah but could not see the Kaaba; The third commandment was for those who are scattered in different parts of the world. Imam Qurtubi said about verse three that the first commandment is for the people of Makkah; The second commandment is for the inhabitants of other cities outside Mecca; And the third commandment is for the travelers. In the commentary, Ibn Kathir has mentioned that in the first verse, the desire of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to get the Kaaba as a qibla is mentioned. The description of the revelation of the third verse is that the followers of the People of the Book have an answer to the irrational talk of accepting the Ka'bah as the Qibla. As a result of this instruction of Allah, the prophecies of their scriptures were also reflected. Moreover, the followers of the People of the Book believed in the Kaaba as a blessed place. Above all, Allah called upon the Muslim Ummah to obey Him through the above verses. He declares the gain of His grace through obedience. He only instructed to be afraid. Those who obey God and His Messenger and fear Him; They will attain success and great blessings in this world and in the Hereafter. May Allah grant everyone the Tawfeeq to obey the Qur'aan and Sunnah in order to gain His grace and success. Amen.
