Allah Almighty has mentioned some long true events in the Holy Quran. He used the word ‘نحن’ before describing any event in the series. Here the Arabic meaning of the word ‘nahnu’ is ‘we’ but in that place it means ‘I’. By this word Allah Tayala means His power.
In verse 13 of Surah Al-Kahf, Allah Ta'ala uses the word 'Nahnu'. From then on, the Companions gradually began to narrate the main events of the cave dwellers.
The incident of the Companions of the Cave is one of the true events of the Holy Qur'an. Where did the journey of Kahaf start with these companions, where did they spend their time .. I will write it another day InshaAllah. Today I will discuss a lesson from the context of the revelation of this Surah.
This Surah can be said to be the bearer of the truth of the last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) received the Prophethood, the Quraish sent Nadar ibn Harith and Uqba ibn Mu'ith to the Jewish scholars of Medina, saying, "Go to them and tell them all about Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)."
They have knowledge of previous prophets. So what is their opinion about Muhammad (pbuh)? That will ask them. The two then met with the Jewish scholars of Medina and described to them the activities and qualities of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The Jewish scholars said to the messengers of the Quraish of Makkah: “Look, we are telling you a settled matter. You go back and ask him three questions.
You will ask him:
1. Describe the events of the youth who went out in the past? (About the Companions of the Cave)
2. Will ask the condition of the person who traveled all over the world. He turned from the east end to the west end. (About Zulkarnain)
3. Will ask him about the state of the soul.
If he can answer these questions, then you will accept him as a prophet and follow him. And if you can't answer, know that he is a liar. So do to him whatever you wish. The two returned to Makkah and told the Quraish,
“Jewish scholars have told us about the final judgment. Jewish scholars have asked him three questions. Let's ask him questions. "
Then they came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and asked him those three questions. He said to them, "Come tomorrow. I will answer your questions."
Here the Prophet (peace be upon him) forgot to say “In sha Allah (if Allah wills). Fifteen days have passed since then, but no revelation has come to him, nor has he been given answers to these questions from Allah. As a result, the people of Makkah swelled up and said to each other: "Look, there was a promise of tomorrow, and today fifteen days have passed, yet he could not answer."
The Prophet (peace be upon him) began to be doubly saddened by this. Firstly, the Quraish have to be listened to because they cannot answer, and secondly, the revelation has stopped coming. Then Gabriel came and Surah Al-Kahf was revealed.
In verses 23-24 of this Surah, the Prophet (peace be upon him) was threatened for not saying Insha Allah. The story of the youth who spent 309 years in the cave is narrated. ঐ The traveler i.e. Zulkarnain is described and the soul is answered.
Instructive: Insha Allah must say something about the future. And blame Allah for what you do not know.
