If the Jews and the Christians had believed in the way the Companions believed in Allah, His Messenger and the Book, they would have been guided. But those who contradicted the Qur'an did not believe but conspired. It is enough to rely on Allah to protect oneself from the conspiracies of those who oppose Allah, His Messenger and the Qur'an. Allah makes it clear in the Qur'an that this help is so that you (the Companions) may believe; If they (Jews and Christians) believe so, then surely they will be guided. And if they turn away (from believing in it), then it is straightforward that they have followed the way of those who oppose it. So rest assured, God is sufficient to help you against them. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. '(Surat al-Baqara: verse 138) Jews and Christians need not panic in opposition and conspiracy. None of their plots can do you any harm. This is because Allah is sufficient for the opponents on behalf of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). And the proclamation of the Qur'an is the same, those who lead a life according to Allah, the Messenger and the path of the Qur'an, Allah is sufficient for all their welfare. Amen.
