Police arrested the hacker along with an accomplice from Mirpur DOHS on the night of August 25 with the help of information technology. The name of the arrested hacker is Nazmus Shakib Naeem. He is an IT expert. After his arrest, he was remanded for 5 days. All the sensational information came out in the interrogation. Hacker Nazmus Shakib Naeem testified in court on Tuesday after remand. He hacked Abdul Waheed's Visa card and spent Tk 3.5 crore through 1,463 transactions in 90 days between July and October 2014 in 9 countries including Bangladesh. It is known that Abdul Wahed migrated to Papua New Guinea in 1986 after graduating from Anandamohan College in Mymensingh. He first started teaching there but later started a business. He is currently the Managing Director of Deshbesh International Limited, a leading business organization in Papua New Guinea. The business is located in Papua New Guinea at Supermarket, Supershop Chain, Fast Food & Bakery, Restaurant Chain, Filling Station, Transport & Logistics, Container Yard, Involved in business like apartments etc. In 2006, Abdul Wahed opened a personal account with Bank South Pacific Limited in Papua New Guinea and received a Visa International debit card. He went to Singapore on business in late October 2014. He is supposed to come to Bangladesh after work.
