When he wanted to help the old lady who was trying to cross the road the only thought in his mind was "humanity", he just wanted to help an old citizen but how the Earth would he know the lady was a criminal, her name on the top of wanted list.
What was her purpose behind asking him for help? He didn't know.
But later he saw the news on a local tv channel also displaying the video of him helping the lady and he was damn scared since then afraid the police will be knocking on his door soon.
In the recording, His face could be seen clearly but the old lady was wearing a worn-out hat on her head easily hiding her face from CCTV. He was continuously scolding himself for being dumb, he should have been alert when the criminal was trying to hide her face behind the hat and her stuff.
Stuff? oh God, what was that stuff in the bag he helped her to carry? what could a criminal carry other than illegal stuff, one can't expect them to be carrying vegetables and groceries in a mysterious bag, no?
Great Albert just great! you left your fingerprints on that bag and let yourself be recorded by CCTV while helping someone who does bad deeds, your life will be over soon.
After watching the news on the street tv he immediately dodged the public and ran away.
Rather than going to his own house, he went to his friend's houses. He had keys to his garage and will spend some time there till he figure out something
It was 8 pm when someone knocked on the door, thinking that it must be his friend he went to open the door but what the heck, aren't their police department supposed to be inefficient and slow then how did these cops find out I am here?
"Mr Albert we have evidence of you helping a wanted criminal, cooperate with us for further investigation"- one of the cops spoke.
He knew they are being impolite just in the beginning and if he dilly-dallied their next step will be to use violence.
Having no other option he went out with them to their car but what's this? When did the cops start riding Lambos?
"Officer, are you heading in the wrong direction?"
"shut up and sit in"
After a drive of 30 minutes, the Lambo finally stopped and they got out, but what again?
They were standing outside a five-star hotel LOL
Are they playing some game? Do they plan to treat him to an expensive meal before locking him up?
Cops didn't look at him and walked toward the entrance. He had a chance to run away but he was too dumbfounded to think right now so just followed them.
But as soon as they entered the building it was a kid's playground with some slides and swings. One cop ran towards the slide and the other one for swing and he was left there alone.
It's just been a few moments when a lady made an emergency announcement in the speaker that a part of the playground caught fire and all the people need to leave the playground asap.
He wanted to run away too but the cops were still playing happily, in no mood to leave. He ran towards them and asked them to leave but they still wanted to play.
WTF is going on, are they cops or idiots?
The lady still making announcements and he still persuading the cops to move and the cops still wanted to play more and the fire spreading in more and more area---- what a weird and scary situation
"Albert! Albert! Albert!"
Suddenly he felt like someone is calling his name continuously but the voice was very faint, like calling his name from a long distance, he turned left and right to see who is calling his name when it started to rain oh no it's not raining it's the fire brigades using water tank to control the fire.
And then he suddenly opened his eyes and saw his friend's face who threw water on him to wake him up.
"what's wrong with you Albert I am trying to wake you up for so long but you were half dead."
Finally, he realized he was just dreaming while sleeping in his friend's garage.
Still immersed in his dream he didn't answer his friend's question and walked out of the garage and saw an old lady wearing a worn-out hat, carrying a lot of stuff and trying to cross the road. Should he go and help her?
No, not today. But what if this lady is innocent?
But still scared by the dream he opted to not do anything and sit on a bench near the road and watch as the lady was still standing there waiting for someone to help her.
good story, I would advise though to spend some more time on the grammar. Personally I use Grammarly, a free app that will show you the errors and how to correct them so you can learn how to not make the same mistake again. Or make the mistake again and again and rely on Grammarly to pick them up so you can current them later... which I tend to do. :)
