Trees (part 2)

0 3

Did you know? In a single day a large tree can consume 100 gallons of water of the ground and discharge it into the air as oxygen and water vapour.

The branches on a tree are essentially supported by the large trunk instilled under the ground. The trunk of a tree is made with woody tissues (that gives it strength) and vascular tissues(that allows it to carry important materials from one point of it to another). Most trees have a layer of bark covering the tree trunks that adds as a protective shield. Under the ground, the trunk spreads its roots that gives additional support to the tree while it absorbing all the nutrients and moisture from the soil.

Trees play a major role in keeping climate moderate and decrease erosion, they tend to remove carbon dioxide from the air and supply us with oxygen.

Moreover trees are habitats for many animals and birds. They also provide shelter and shade, fuel for heating and cooking, timber and lumber for construction and fruits.Countries that have lands filled with diverse ranges of trees tends to do well in agriculture.

There are also some trees that are seen as sacred in some cultures, while some have main roles in famous tree myths.
