As we all know ,wearing glasses while playing football is not allowed because there is a high risk to have a serious injury.Every player avoids wearing glasses while playing football.
But do you know there was a famous football player who wore a glasses while playing football?
His name is Edgar Steven Davids .David is
a dutch football player and he played in many famous Club including Barcelona and Juventus.He statrted his career in Ajax Club and his playing position is Defensive Midfielder.He also played for Netherlands National Team and scored
( 6) goals in his (74) appearances.
He was one of the most recognisable players because of his Goggles(Glasses).
He wore Goggles because he suffered
Glaucoma(an eye diseases which can damage the optic nerves and cause vision loss). Although he had to wear Goggles while playing ,this could not stop his success.He was called "The Pitbull" becuase of his combative and energetic playing style.
He Played for Ajax,Milan,Juventus,Barcelona(loan),InterMilan,Spurs,CrystalPalace and Barnet.
He won many significant Cups including UEFA Champion League with Ajax in 1995.
In December 2013,he retired playing football.
