Hello guys ! I hope all of you are fine and enjoying the cold days . I am fine . Today i am going to talk about plastic . We all are well aware of plastic and also from its benefits and disadvantages.

Plastic as a substance is non biodegradableand thus plastic bags remain in the environment for hundred of years polluting it immensely.

Facts about plastic:

• It was invented in 1909 for the first time.

• Plastic is made from the fossil fuels.

• Many scientists are trying to invent the plastic made from natural materials.

• More than 40 percent of plastic is used just once before it is thrown away.

• It takes hundred of years to break down .

Fun facts about plastic:

• It take about 450 years just just for the breakdown in the ground , 11 percent of household waste is present in the plastic .

What are the uses of plastic?

Plastic is used across almost every sector,including to produce packaging, in building, and in construction,in textiles,in consumers products etc .

Plastic is strong and light weight ,that is why it is used in making toys, electrical switches,and other household products.

Why plastic should be banned?

• Indiscriminant use if plastic bags result in littering

• Use of plastic bags depletes our natural resources such as water ,trees etc.

• It produce a threat to marine life resulting in a decrease in number of sea animals

Harmfulness:

The harmfuk chemicals is released from plastic products through their entire cycle can posess a serious risk to humans, to environment,including earth.

When waste is not properly managed ,finding its way to air ,water .

The most use of plastic is packaging

Approximately 36 percent of all plastics produced are used in packaging including single use plastic product for foods and beverage containers approximately 85% of which ends up in the landfills or as unregulated waste

Recycling of plastic:

Plastic are usually recycle mechanically they are sorted ,cleaned ,shreddered ,melted and Re molded. Is time plastic is the cycle this way it's quantity is degraded

Being non reactive with air and water it is used to store water in plastic bottles and other chemicals in chemical Laboratories.

Plastic plays a very important role in our society but sometime when we don't place the garbage in dustbin it cause pollution and spread disease so this is our duty to keep clean our Earth.
