I wanted to eat marble cake for dinner today so I decided to try to make it. Or something similar. 😄Honestly, I can’t say I’m very good at making cakes. I often bake, but I usually choose simple recipes that can be made quickly.
That’s why I’m proud of myself now, because this cake has become very, very delicious. I used to make cherry cakes for which I found the recipe on kiki. Probably most of you know what I mean when I say Kiki. So the base dough was the same I just put more oil in it than I used to. I like the oily cake dough because the dough will be less dry because of the oil.
Ingredients:
2 mugs of flour
1 mug sugar
1 mug milk
3/4 mug oil
1 packet of baking powder
1 egg
+3 tablespoons of cocoa powder and a few drops of milk.
I mix the ingredients except for the cocoa powder and a few drops of milk. When the dough is no longer lumpy, I halve it. I mix cocoa and very little milk into one half. The milk is needed just so that the cocoa powder does not change the texture of the dough. I used two small baking trays for baking. I always use baking paper, so the cake will definitely not stick to the baking tray and it will be easier to wash. If you do not have baking paper, you can also grease the baking tray with butter or oil.
I start to spoon the dough into the baking tray. A spoonful of plain dough, a spoonful of cocoa dough. I start in the middle of the baking tray and I always spoon it in the same place, I don’t pour it, I don’t lubricate it, the dough will smooth out nicely on its own. This technique is what makes the dough a nice striped pattern.
I first bake the cake at 180 degrees, bottom-top baking mode, for about half an hour. After half an hour, the inside was still completely fluid. But on top it was already baked in a thin layer and cracked. I switched the baking mode to air-mixed baking and baked for another 15-20 minutes. And so it became perfect!
Of course, the baking time can depend on many things, such as the type of oven or the size of the baking tray used. After all, if you use a larger baking tray, the cake will be thinner, so it will be made sooner.
The result is a soft, crumbly dough with a slightly crunchy layer on the outside. Perfect for me!
Oh my it looks yummy
