"Buy what you don't have yet, or what you really want, which can be mixed with what you already own. Buy only because somethings excites you, not just for the simple act of shopping." - Karl Lagerfeld

Hello everyone! This is @BCH.Serg. New to the cryptocurrency space. Any advise or suggestion about cryptos will be much appreciated.

Bitcoin Cash came about in August 2017 as a result of constant debate and opinions about the future of Bitcoin's scalability and mass adoption.

So did you get interested in bitcoin cash just like me? Do you think this will be the future or are you planning to invest or trade in bitcoin cash?

Before entering the bitcoin cash space, let us first know where or how to buy BCH. In this guide, we will find out on how and where to get our hands on BCH.

Buying Bitcoin Cash in 3 Simple Steps

  1. Get a Bitcoin Cash Wallet

Before we can buy Bitcoin Cash, we will need a Bitcoin Cash Wallet to store it in.

There are two types of Wallet:

  • Harware Wallet - a physical device which allows users to store their private keys in it. Leading industry of hardware wallets that supports Bitcoin Cash are Ledger and TREZORS.

  • Software Wallets - an application on your computer or phone where you can store your cryptocurrency. Here are some of the well known software wallets: Exodus, Edge, Electron Cash.

We can view the list of available wallets on the official bitcoin cash website.

Once we have our wallets, we need to find our bitcoin cash address. It is a long string of number and letters that start either with "1" or "3".

People tend to send bitcoin to BCH address an d vice versa so a new format called"Cash Address" is invented to avoid confusion. This address start with either "p" or "q".

Reminder: not all wallets supports cash address format

  1. Find a Bitcoin Cash Exchange

Bitcoin Cash Exhange - a digital market place where traders can buy or sell cryptocurrencies using different fiat currencies or altcoins.

Here are some of the top list:

  1. eToro

  2. Coinmama

  3. CEX.IO

  4. Coinbase

  5. Bitstamp

We can also view all vailable exchanges on Bitcoin Cash website.

Note: I will probably create an article on this exchanges one by one in the future.

  1. Transfer the BCH to the wallet

Once we finished buying our Bitcoin Cash, we can move it to our choosen wallet.

Once we have received three confirmations, we can say that our transactions is a success.

Reminder: It is highly recommended to never leave your Bitcoin Cash on the exchanges.

Now we know how and where to buy Bitcoin Cash. So if you think you have the guts and luck, start now on your Bitcoin Cash journey.
