This is the furthest galaxy observed in the known Universe, known as GN-z11. The light of this galaxy is said to have arrived from 13.4 billion years ago, when the Universe is thought to have been only 3% of its current age, or about 407 million years. The distance between this galaxy and us, given the expanding Universe, is considered an astonishing 32.1 billion light-years. A combination of Hubble and Spitzer observations was used to find this galaxy, whose light is so strongly redshifted that it occurs only in the infrared portion of the spectrum.
