It's been a long time since science has been performing research on the transmission of diseases; as well know the disease can be acquired from the environment; they can be congenital or they are being transferred from one generation to another. How this is possible that a parent disease must be transmitted to offspring; allow me to address this topic.
As we know the science behind the genes and alleles and their function in controlling the hereditary; thereby the disease can be either X linked or Y linked; in case of X linked the males are more victim of disease as they have a single X chromosome but in female chances are less if the partner chromosome is dominant, but now she is a carrier of that diseases;
Example;
Baldness and color blindness is X-linked diseases and males have note probability to acquire these abnormalities, but females will transfer this trait to their male offspring.
Same in the case of color blindness; males are infected more than females as the mutant allele is dominant on the X chromosome.
Now the question is this why disease run on generations. The answer is cousin marriage; if a mutant allele is present in the parental generation; progeny will more likely to acquire it.
Example;
Thalassemia;
In this disease, the patient has to g a blood transfusion as the spleen can cooperate with the lever in producing the matured red blood cell. But this disease can be stopped if the variation of the gene occurs in the family; the new incoming gene may have fewer chances of this disease and thereby its transmission can be stopped.
My humble request!
Please ensure few blood tests before marriage and if you realize that mutant genes are occurring in a couple; stop this nonsense of giving the next generation a dead and unsecured life.
Each religion emphasize the well being of kids so do it for your upcoming generation; please don't attempt to relay the life of your child on others mercy,
I attempt to secure the upcoming generation by giving knowledge and awareness; you are welcome to contribute to this topic.
