We all have to perform a struggle for our survival, but some people having craziness to write down their names in history by performing extraordinary work becomes the motivation for others. We call them inspiration and they become our favorite personalities. No doubt such a person can be your parents from whom you get the impulse to live life. They can be someone from your social circle to whom you pay gratitude for their untiring struggle. In the short term whole, this world is filled with such inspiring people. But my favorite personality is
Dr.Abdul Sattar Edhi.
This person is not only proud of Pakistan but he is the inspiration for coming generations. He doesn't need any sort of introduction for his devoted work, but let me show you his effort to save suffering humanity,
Why this philanthropist is being called a favorite?
When he was a child he received a little amount of pocket money and he used to save half of it to help others. His mother got paralyzed when he was a child so he took whole care of his mother; this made him motivated to support the helpless humanity. He acknowledged that;
No religion is bigger than humanity.
His habit to assist others got transformed at a young age and he started collecting money to help others. He requested people to join this act of humanity. His whole life was spent performing this. Due to his hard work;
Now there are Edhi orphanage homes throughout the country; to flourish and build the future of orphans.Edhi center operates the world's largest volunteer ambulance service.
Edhi's old house exists here to help those who are left in old age. They enjoy the rest of their lives in harmony.Edhi ambulance service works 24 hours a day to save the life of people.To save the lives of children who are being thrown or they are being considered as burdens are saved by Edhi children's service.Blood bank on this name of Edhi gives new life to many without any discrimination.
He declared;
My faith is philanthropy, which is the footing of every theology in the world.
Furthermore; graveyard service homeless shelter hospital services; animal shelters, and rehabilitation centers in the name of Edhi operate nationwide.
Whenever came disasters in the country he invited everyone for help and donated all the money he had to support the country fellow
Even after his death, his family is doing the work for humanity in a marvelous way.
Awards he got;
He was honored;Linen peace prize; Nishan e Imtiaz, Roman Magsaysay award for public service. He couldn't get the Noble prize for peace as he said goodbye on 8 July;2016. But the angel of Mercy will always be remembered because of his good work.
May his soul rest in peace and may Allah Almighty grant such courage and patience to all of us for serving humanity. Ameen.
