HOME is where our hearts feel unexplainable happiness.
Working overseas has its benefits and shortcomings that we need to consider before finally making a big decision.
ADVANTAGES
· Higher Income and better employment benefits. ...
· Travel and experience abroad. ...
· Global career and profession marketability. ...
· Independence and better life style. ...
· Prestige and recognition....
DISADVANTAGES
· The experience is never going to be what you expect. ...
· You might experience discrimination. ...
· Limited employment opportunities. ...
· Culture Shock..
· Being homesick is one of the worst disadvantages of working abroad..
For those who have experienced working overseas, would you agree to this? Maybe you can add your thoughts about this.
How about those who have family members working overseas, do you want them to work locally or overseas?
Every individual has his/her own reason for deciding what is better for him/her. Most Filipinos decide to work overseas basically for the family and to attain maybe financial freedom.
As an OFW before, I have the same reason as every OFW has. In my case, I have decided to come home and build my family in our home country.
I am grateful also that my partner before waited for me to be back home. We are happily married today with three beautiful kids.
Challenges never stop in our lives, at least, we have each other to support and back up one another.
