About me….

I am Richard Terdzungwe Awuhe Shankyura, I was born during the Tiv political crisis as such i am also giving the name Congo , as a confirmed Catholic I also answer Charles which informs while I am popularly also known as Chalie.

I was born at the prestigious Christian hospital at Mkar near the Tiv national headquarters , Gboko in the year of our Lord 1964 on the 20th of march.My parents Ortamen Samuel Awuhe Shankyura , a strict disciplinarian and a man who believed in uprightness retired as an officer of the Law (NPF)and my mother Madam Elizabeth Analumun, a determined and focused lady , both now diseased have moulded me to who Iam today- may they always be blessed.

I have grown up in Adikpo-London(Someday I will tell you why Adikpo is London)I am a proud London boy, it is in this great town that I had my educational foundation- I attended St Ann’s primary school and the Adikpo community secondary school before proceeding to the great university of Jos , Nigeria. Here I read and obtained a bachelor of science degree in Geography and planning.

I proceeded to serve the nation in the mandatory National youth service scheme in Kogi state, I was among the first generation of corps liaison officers, our allawe was 350 Naira monthly- you can hardly buy a plate of food with that now.

I have also been trained as an environmental resource manager at the Benue state university in Makurdi, Nigeria.

I am a Vandeikya man , Or Mbagbera, Mbaugh, my Village is Tsua. We a are a kingly family.

I work with the Benue state local government service commission, I am currently serving at Makurdi Local Government Council as a director of works, I oversee the department of works.I am an environmentalist and a planner.

I am also the desk officer of the Makurdi local government emergency management committee, water and sanitation, National youths Volunteer program and the head of survey among others.

I am very happily married to Mrs Francisca Mbaidoove ,a communication expert and I have two fantastic children Mr Jesse Aondoakaa an aspiring physicist and Rev Dickson Bem,MSSCC, a deacon of the Catholic Church.My other children Esther and Stephanie are from other parents. I have simbiling too, this a story for another day.

I am an active leisure athlete, I play Basketball,I am currently the captain of the veterans basketball club in Makurdi and i am learning how to play Tennis , i have played table tennis, volleyball and also was a judoka.I am a member of the Benue state university senior staff club Tennis section. As former grade one referee i like watching football,i love good football and i never walk alone.

I believe strongly in God, I am a confirmed Catholic.

I currently reside in Makurdi,the Benue state capital in Nigeria.

I love photography.I am a street photographer,I like capturing the good the bad and the ugly .

I love reading ,I have read widely, I also love writing , I am learning how to be a good writer.
