Mectitizan contain a medicine called ivermectin. This is a type of medicine which is use for infestation caused by certain parasite.

This kind of drugs is use for treatment of onchocerciasis, a disease caused by infestation with a parasite, the onchocerca volvulus filaria.a blood infestation called micro filaremia due to lymphatic filariasis. This is cause by an immature worm called,, wuchereria bancrofit. Mectizan will not prevent you from having any of these infestation. It is not effective on adult worn. Mectizan must only be taken on your doctors advice when parasite infestation has been diagnosed or is strongly suspected.
