On the occasion of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage to this great leader on behalf of the nation.

The Prime Minister paid homage to his portrait with flowers in front of the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum on Dhanmondi Road No. 32 in the capital at 5.30 am on Saturday.

After giving flowers, the Prime Minister stood there in silence for some time. A smart contingent of the armed forces saluted the armed at this time; A sad tune was played on the bugle.

After the recitation of the Qur'an, a special munajat was offered for the peace of the souls of the martyrs of August 15.

At that time Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina and her daughter Saima Wazed Hossain were also there.

Within four years of independence, on 15 August 1975, a group of army officers and soldiers and their families had to give their lives to the hero of Bangladesh's freedom struggle, the then President Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

From her family's six-year-old child to the pregnant woman, she was not spared that day.

On this day of national mourning, the national flag has been kept at half-mast on Saturday, various programs are being celebrated.
