Axie Infinity token RON is live!

It is no secret that the "Play to earn nft" world is led by Sky Mavis' project, Axie Infinity. In fact, more than 95% of the current players of NFT projects joined this wonderful world of play to earn in 2021, and as proof of that, Axie Infinity reported more than 3 million daily active users in its latest report.

However, like the whole crypto market, Axie Infinity's economy is not at its best, and all players are waiting for new news and updates that can improve the whole ecosystem. After the launch of Katana in November 2021, the launch of the new Sky Mavis token, RON, was expected and it has finally arrived!

RON opens a world of possibilities to the Sky Mavis economy and especially to the Axie Infinity economy since it is a token that is born with the utility of being the payment currency of the RONIN Network transactions, as is the BNB in the Binance Smart Chain. All the people who farmed RONON in the Katana liquidity pools during the last three months will be able to claim it today.

RON went public yesterday with a price of $3.67 and has a great future as its value will increase with the success of the RONIN Network. RON may be the key to solving the Axie Infinity economy, as the RONIN Network is now open to everyone, and other projects outside of Sky Mavis could join it, which would generate a constant demand for the RON token.

The main problem of Axie Infinity's economy is the inflation of its Smooth Love Potion (SLP) token, and according to Sky Mavis' latest report, around 60% of the current SLP production comes from adventure mode. Recently, it was theorized that RON could be implemented as a reward in adventure mode, which would drastically reduce SLP production and thus take pressure off SLP and raise its price.

However, this measure taken alone may not have a positive impact but implemented as a whole, it could be effective:

* Change SLP rewards to AXS for top 1000 players in Arena mode.

* Implement RON as a reward in Adventure mode instead of SLP.

It is worth mentioning that the top 1000 players generate a lot of SLP and are the players who reinvest the most in the game by constantly trying new compositions to stay competitive and continue fighting for a place among the best players in the world. Therefore, if they were to earn AXS in Arena mode instead of SLP it would also take pressure off the SLP, and they would continue to earn a handsome profit which would encourage more players to improve in Arena mode.

This is just a theory that was born from a Youtuber, but it was retweeted by Jihoz, one of the Co-founders of Sky Mavis and Axie Infinity. Besides, Andrew "Zyori" Campbell stated in a recent interview that the Sky Mavis team is evaluating implementing RON as an in-game reward token, but it is still unknown in what mode and when it will be.

But what is a reality is that now the RON token opens the doors of the RONIN Network to the world, and other NFT projects may be developed within this network, which would give more utility to the RON and therefore increase its price. And if Sky Mavis' team finally implements the RON token as a reward token, this would diversify and increase the profits of Axie Infinity players.
