Last saturday morning, I was worrying about few things so I went to the beach to breathe some fresh air and be able to meditate even just for a moment (we live in a coastal area). While enjoying the fragrance of the sea breeze, I've spotted a group of Maya birds gliding and drifting through the air, flying freely as the wind. I was fascinated by those little creatures and I once dreamed to become a bird too when I was young, for the reason that I want to experience the feeling of flying while soaring high through the clouds, and if that would really happen I will fly whatever I want or whenever l'm weary.
Those birds we're a vivid reminder to me of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior who once said in Matthew 6:25-26 โTherefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Human as we are, worrying is just a normal thing, we tend to plant tons of problems in our minds and we ended up losing our cool and agonize at the same time. As you can observed nowadays, our world is slowly dying, it is now full of misery, danger, fear, and abominations, and to the fact that the pandemic makes it even worse.
Now, how do we overcome all of these?
How to deal with our anxieties and worries?
So here are some suggestions for WORRIERS;
(Based on the book I read "OUR DAILY BREAD")
1. START A WORRY LIST.
Write down what you're worried about. Is it food, shelter, financial, your family or friends, health, or even your future. I know that you have still more reasons that causes you to worry more than the ones that I mentioned. Just list it down.
2. TURN YOUR WORRY LIST INTO A PRAYER LIST.
Ask the Lord to work, manifest and take control in those situations you're primarily concerned about. Kneel down before the Lord and pray wholeheartedly and specifically for your needs and depend on Him.
3. TURN YOUR PRAYER LIST INTO AN ACTION LIST.
Prayers requires faith, commitment, and action! So take heart, if there is a will there is always a way. Time is gold, don't waste it by doing trivial things. As we turn our worries into prayer and action we can make it happen, because our Father in heaven is the "GOD OF POSSIBILITIES".
So easy right? nothing will be lost if you try it.
So, WHY NOT TRY YOUR LIST RIGHT NOW, AND WITNESS THE MIRACLES THAT WILL HAPPEN INTO YOUR LIFE.
So you see, our worries and anxieties should not be an excuse to give up on life. We are not born to be WORRIERS , instead we are the WARRIORS who fight in the battle of this changing world, that is why we must suit up in the full armor of God wearing the belt of Truth, breastplate of Righteousness, boots of Peace, shield of Faith, helmet of Salvation and Sword of the Spirit. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
We should stand in our faith, and fix our mind to God for He will transform us into a triumphant and unbeatable one, that no worries nor the trials in this world can bring us down. KEEP THAT IN MIND.
