Hello community, welcome to Ataka Hub South Sudan. This is an update article for Ataka Hub South Sudan. First, We’ll like to inform the community that this is an official account for Ataka Hub on read.cash which will be a permanent handle that’ll have all our updates and activities going forward. We’re glad to bring this few updates your way as we’re still waiting for Ataka Hub’s flipstarter campaign to pass. We found it necessary to have the community updated on weekly basis; on how activities are being carried out at Ataka Hub. http://bchcampaign.net .Today we’ll discuss few things that you’ll love to know more about Ataka Hub, our team members. How we’re trying to experiment a BCH local economy in South Sudan etc. Ataka Hub is an affiliate to EatBCH that has a specific vision and mission. Ataka Hub has served as a distribution aid Hub for EatBCH for the past three years in South Sudan. In our flipstarter content http://bchcampaign.net/ , we tried to give a broad overview of eatBCH team members and their locations, but we’ll focus more of Ataka Hub team members that comprise of four people who are pushing to make a difference through a BCH local economy experiment.

What is the difference between EatBCH and Ataka Hub team members?

EatBCH is a group of friends doing what they can to help their neighbours in this time of uncertainty; displaced people receive daily bread from EatBCH. EatBCH operates on donations from communities such as BCH community and other organizations. Ataka Hub team on their own is trying to change the narrative; thus, from operating on donations and supports to establishing sustainable local economy which will be experimented on BCH.

Four team members at Ataka Hub

Ataka hub South Sudan is community based youths lead organization in south sudan with about four staffs namely:

Bior Ajang is the Executive Director of the organization, he directs the activities of the organization to making sure that all the organs are functioning properly. He is also in charge of accountability and reports on every activities.

Michael Ghai Tong is the project manager, he manage all the project of ataka hub and makes sure all projects are implemented accordingly, and he also write project proposals for the organization.

Yar Manyang is a female teammate, she is our Gender officer, she organize all the activities related to girls and women helping them to achieve freedom of expression always; being a lady, she represents women perfectly as most of the discuss freely with her and opens up more while with her. She is also our office manager; in charge of all our office equipment.

Ayom Ruei is our public relations and social media manager, he makes sure we are connected; keeping our social media accounts active and updated.

All Ataka Hub team members are working as volunteers for eatBCH but not all eatBCH team members are involved in what Ataka Hub is about doing. Ataka hub South Sudan is having a less staffing because currently we don't have enough funding to employ more people. Currently, all of us are volunteering to serve our community.

BCH local economy experiment.

We have a flipstarter campaign which is still running http://bchcampaign.net/ . Please read through and support this flipstarter campaign which will elapsed soon. The flipstarter contains the details of our BCH local economy experiment which takes up as soon as our flipstarter is passed. Meanwhile, it’s important that we update the community on our plans and position of things. Our project involved: building a house; a BCH house which will form a base for our economic activities, meetups, training, selling of our agro products, exchanging fiats to BCH (helping community trade with BCH). We’re also embarking on a BCH local economy through agriculture; meaning that through agriculture, we seek to support our community directly and engage more youths who will work with our four team members in agriculture. We’re narrowing our agricultural economic activities to BCH. This is our first experiment of this kind. We’re leasing farm lands for our agricultural activities which we are currently campaigning for, and looking for merchants that can supply us materials using BCH.

These are questions that we assumed you may like to know more about.

Where is the land for Ataka hub/Bitcoin Cash house?

The land is at block 4 residential area Bor jonglei state

Who owns the land?

The land will belong to Ataka Hub after purchase.

Where is Ataka Hub’s proposed farm located?

The farm is at gakyuom 1 kilometer from the town of Bor.

We are renting the land from the community.

What is the weekly/monthly plan for purchasing materials?

The weekly plan will depend on our estimation for each week; for a busy week could spend upto 10 to 15 BCH on both the farm and on Ataka Hub house. Meaning we could spend around 7 BCH on the farm and 8 on the the house weekly.

Who will let Ataka Hub purchase materials with BCH?

Currently there’s no seedlings merchant accepting Bitcoin Cash as payment, but this is what we hope to achieve by educating the community on BCH usage. We’ll back it up by accepting BCH from the community for our farm produce. Currently we have a Ugandan guy who sells materials in to us in shillings (fiat money)

Who/how many people will do the agriculture work?

We have 7 people that will work at the farm, and we have plan to pay them hourly.

How much will you pay them (hourly?)?

Some bigger organization pays professionals around $10 per hour, but we intend to pay our workers $7 per hour.

How will you pay them with BCH (individual mobile phones?)?

Yes, we’ll give our workers orientation on how to utilize Bitcoin Cash, then we’ll help them install Bitcoin Cash supported wallet which they’ll receive their BCH payment with.

How would SS people and our community get BCH to buy out products?

This is the most interesting part. Ataka Hub will also undertake the task of helping the community to exchange their fiat to BCH. Exchanges as http://local.bitcoins.com is also ideal for a p2p BCH trading which our team members is already educating our youths and community members. Our community members could also get direct support in BCH if they start writing their testimonial articles on http://read.cash ; by writing their individual experience on using a permissionless money BCH.

More updates will come your way by next week.
