Hey guys. How are you? I hope you are fine and doing well. I'm @Ashutosh.S back with another article. Today I want to talk about age long rivalry of Intel and AMD, which has grown even tougher now.

This article covers the never-ending argument of AMD vs Intel desktop CPUs (we're not covering laptop or server chips) based on what you plan to do with your PC, pricing, performance, driver support, power consumption and security, giving us a clear view of the state of the competition.

The rivalry started basically with lawsuit filings. But that is not our matter of concern. We're here to compare two companies in terms of their new gen processors only.

With release of 10th generation processor line-up of Intel, we got to know that they used the same architecture, same technology and same onboard graphics. While amd upgraded their onboard graphics making it's performance as good as APU's onboard graphics.

Now, if we talk about the best processor in gaming; Intel is still the king. But the difference between results of Intel and AMD in that particular price segment is negligible (in 144 and above fps). The difference can be clearly seen in 60 fps monitor. But if you're using most powerful CPU, you definitely won't use a 60fps monitor.

If we talk about Overall processor for gaming, AMD wins again. Why? Because Intel is bad? No. The performance while being almost same, competition is won by AMD because of price. Price differs two products here because performance is almost same. And AMD is focusing more on budget range processor.

So did AMD finally beat Intel? Well yes, but actually no. You cannot ruin Intel's image so fast. What Intel created weren't just processors, but also trust. From 90s most of us are using Intel processors. Why? Because our elders said so. How do they know? Because even they've used it.

AMD may have beat Intel performance wise, but personally I think that you cannot top the image Intel has created in the market, making it's sales better than AMD.

If AMD has won performance wise, then is it a mistake to buy Intel processors? Absolutely no. Why? You won't even see the performance difference on normal screen. You'll have to compare the tuning results of both the processors, and still you won't see much of a difference.

You'll only feel bad if you know this stuff. If you're in the position of giving advice rather than taking it in this area of interest.

This is my take on the AMD vs Intel situation right now. Correct me if I'm wrong as well as please give your feedback. Like, comment and subscribe if you liked the article. It means a lot. Thanks in advance. Until Tomorrow, stay safe. ❤️

AMD started in graphic processors and is a big success. When it comes to CPUs, AMD is still young and will have a hard time capturing the market

Talking about APU's, they were the leader now for a long time and they'll still continue to be, whilst the benchmarks of their recent processors beat Intel's

I agree even tough the performance might be better but intel has a strong name in the market and AMD won’t take that name over night

Exactly. Rome wasn't built in a day. Intel is still the king

Yeah you get my point. Anyways it is good for consumers also that there is competition for intel, it will break its monopoly
