In the Himalayas Mount Everest is the highest peak. It is over 29000 feet high. It was named after George Everest, an Englishman. Hillary and Tenzing fast succeeded to reach the top of Mount Everest. They started their journey on 10 March, 1953 and reached the top of the mountain after two month.
