He was born on March 17, 1920 at tungipara in gopalganj district. His father's name of sheikh Lutfor Rahman and his mother's name was Sayera begum. He passed B.A from Calcutta Islamia college. In 1948 he was taken into prison for his involvement which language movement. In 1949 he was appointed the joint Secretary of Awami Muslim league in the year of it's establishment. Hi Served as a minister in East Pakistan government in 1954 and 1956. In 1958 he was arrested at the time of Martial Law. In 1964 he was elected president of Awami League. In 1966 Sheikh Muzibur Rahman submitted his six point demand. In the election of 1970 Awami League won the majority in the Jatiya parishad under his leadership. One 7th March 1971 he called for independent of Bangladesh in the Race-course ground. On 25th March 1971 Pakistani army killed many civilians in Dhaka. On 16th December 1971 was got independence. On 15 August, 1975 Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur was killed. We lost a great leader through such brutality.
