In life that lead us to surrender, accepting that life is not easy for us. We felt worthless and decided to do nothing because everything else was pointless.

But that is not how life works. Just this story that I'm about to tell you.

The story of Naeem

There was a poor boy named Naeem. He lived in a small village of Shantipur in Pabna, Sadar Upazila. Naeem was only six years old when his mother died. He began working as a domestic helper in a wealthy family when he was twelve years old. Because his father was unable to bring him up, Naeem used to obey the orders of the rich family members, despite the fact that Mijan (the only son of that wealthy family) disliked having things done by him.

He was happy to see Mijan going to school. Although he wants to go to school as well, but he must work hard. Naeem is eager to learn and was astounded by Mijan's vast knowledge. He has everything that a child desires and needs. But he put in his mind that instead of pondering things that is impossible for him, he would prefer to choose to work for his family.

Naeem wants to be friends with Mijan, but it has become difficult for him. He do all the things to make Mijan like him, even it lead him to be hurt. Until one day, Mijan noticed Naeem's kindness and hard work, and the two became friends. Mijan used to tell stories about their school and how successful people achieved their goals, which inspired Naeem to dream even bigger. Mijan's father noticed Naeem's eagerness to learn and decided to assist him in attending school. As a result, Naeem was able to continue his studies.

Mijan told Naeem another story one night. It was all about a poor boy who made it big by working abroad. Naeem was thinking that if he could travel to different countries, he would have a lot of opportunities. Because of this, he began to learn English and even Japanese by watching television and reading books. At the same time, he was drawn to learning about different cultures and beliefs in different countries.

Reading books became a habit for him, until at the age of 23 he became a member of their local library near the school. He learned and gained more knowledge, which makes him to be one of the top student of their batch. And he was still working while studying.

The day has come and he graduated in college. He looked for work and was fortunate to find one in a Singapore dockyard. He earns many times more than he did when he was younger. He was able to assist his family and provide for his wants and needs. His hard work began to turn his long-cherished dream into a reality, and he was grateful to Allah for assisting him in making his plan a success.

This was a story shared by my father, that I truly learned and motivated a lot.

After he finished the story, he asked me this question.

What have you learned by this story?

I can't give the answer to him becuase I wasn’t got his point. Then my father told me :

Listen my boy.

No matter how bad times come, never be disappointed in life. You Should thoughts always be positive,It will help you to have success in life. If you have to set a goal in life and work according to the goal, then success will surely come at any time anyplace. My father further told me that only through hard work you can change your destiny. Hard work is the key to success. Never forget it.
