Environmental Art Movement
Environmental art, which is also known as ecological art , includes a variety of forms and activities that interact with and reflect the environment.
Environmental artists aim to explore and determine our connection with the environment by incorporating it into creative work. This shifts our perspective on the location of artistic production; rather than using the artist's studio as the sole location for creation, environmental artists engage the natural world in a much more active and immediate way, either by working in new ways outside, or by bringing natural materials into new settings.
Environmental artists strive to create in harmony with, rather than against, the natural environment. This implies that they take into account the effect that they have on nature as people and do not compromise its health or welfare in order to generate employment. Furthermore, by collaborating with biological environments, environmental artists are exposed to the unpredictable cycles of the seasons, with their processes of blooming, erosion, shaping, and disintegration.
Natural elements such as leaves, flowers, branches, ice, dirt, sand, stone, and water are often used as the foundation of environmental artists' work. Furthermore, by situating their work in particular locations, environmental artists often aim to both change the way the site is seen while also exposing what was previously there. This necessitates that viewers and audiences reconsider how they "see" the world around them and pay more attention to the minute and unique pieces that comprise what we may mistake for a unified environment.
And I am Art Of Expression, one of those artists. I am utilizing the usage of leaves fell from trees to create art pieces. Without the usage of papers, pen, pencils, paint and mobile phone to create my works, I can say that I am moving closer to the essence of environmental art.
As I said, leaves are my main medium but there still available materials out there and I will leave that to YOUR own creativity.
What is the difference between my art from the past to my art as an NFT now?
All I can say is its uniqueness. Not only because of the medium I used but because I only take 1 photo of my works and mint them as NFTs. The NFT record is its permanent record and you won't be able to see them in other places even at my phone because once the NFT is sold, I will delete it to my phone to preserve its rarity.
That would be all and be with me as I release more works in the future!!
