"Recycling"

4 11

To reduce waste numbers, automotive manufacturers racked their brains in order to find environmentally friendly production methods.

One of the environmentally friendly actions was made by General Motors, Ford, and other automotive manufacturers who began to look at recycling.

The automotive giants are reported to have prepared facilities designed to conjure recycled plastic as a new base material for car components.

Quoted from Auto Evolution, this facility will transform plastic waste into debris that will be used as a base material for various products, such as car carpets, car body, and wheel coatings.

Empower Tuna Wisma

General Motors is known to partner with 11 companies to recycle plastic bottles. The results will be used to make air filter components and noise insulation.

Not only does it make the environment cleaner, the company also empowers homeless people in the "Do Your Part" program.

"Seven plastic bottles are used for noise reduction in the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox V6 engine and 6 bottles for air filter components used in 10 General Motors facilities," said General Motors Global Manager, Bridget Burnell.

Use 250 Plastic Bottles for 1 Car

This automated company uses recycled plastic from 250 bottles for one car. Average plastic is used to make components.

The company is optimistic that it can reduce plastic waste in the world by means of environmentally friendly production.

"We do it because it makes sense technically and economically. This material is very suitable for car components and is very functional, "said Ford Motor Company Design Engineer, Thomas Sweder.

This is a good idea for reusing plastic bottles. The problem is that most of them are not recycled at all, but end up in the trash.

Most of the time it ends up in the trash, but if there is just one person moving forward to do this then all that can be overcome.
