It's so rare for a skilled graduate to be poor.
Acquire a skill when you have the time or you regret the time wasted.
Companies don't look for certified graduates, they look for skilled graduates.
Dear, undergraduate? You have the opportunity now, don't waste it like we almost wasted ours in pubs. It doesn't look good outside here unless you have what it takes.
The time we ought to have spent acquiring skills in school, we spent it in Pubs.
Though no regret because I'm happy my squad are doing fine.
But what worked for us might not work for you. So learn from it, it's not easy out here!!!
On Reading
At the start, or perhaps if you may ask an undergraduate, Reading is actually not easy. But you know what, there is something we call an "addiction". You get to this level when you do something with passion everyday. Hence, there's possiblity of you getting addicted to books when you make it habitual. Take solace in reading those things you said are meaningless, go outside your specialization. As an Art student, nothing stops you from having a clue about science and vice versa. Doing this enhances your knowledge, crushes ignorance, fosters an exposure and gives you insight into everything needed to improve your inbuilt intellect.
I had a very poor educational background because I attended worst public schools all through my both elementary and secondary education even to tertiary institutions due to my stubborness. But one thing has been helpful in my personal development which is; Reading everything that comes my way. It has indeed actually transformed me in recent years and thus, sharpened my sense of reasoning. It has made me to be able to creatively string words together on paper even with my eyes closed and as well as speak conveniently, boldly and without fear of committing intellectual blunder. There's indeed no limit to what your brain can assimilate, it all depends on your personal readiness.
