English version

A bit late, but here I am with my weekly battle!

A few days ago I also dropped my fist legendary card... yeah, a LEGENDARY!!!

I'm still so happy about it and I can't wait to see what other awesome surprises this game will give me in the future.

Thanks to this card I was able to end the last season in Bronze II... and so I can finally say that my journey on Splinterlands is going forward!

What an awesome game!

Now, let's come back to this Week Challenge and see how the Goblin Shaman weakened our enemies till their death!

The Goblin Shaman is a Common Fire card, available for free to all players: this means that everyone can use it in battle, but you still need to own it to be able to rent or sell it.

Still, the Goblin Shaman is a super useful card and you'll find yourself playing it a lot thanks to his good health and passive ability.

CARD ANALYSIS

Goblin Shaman has (4) health and no attack, but he has the ability to give -1 to all enemy monsters' health... as long as he is alive obviously!

This kind of ability is quite uncommon in the lowest ranks, making the Goblin Shaman one of the few cards able to affect other monsters.

Other cards with similar abilities are the Undead Priest and the Silvershield Knight:

THE TEAM

23 Mana - Standard Rules

As summoner, I chose Malrik Inferno: having that +1 melee attack turns always useful and Fire has a lot of good melee monsters.

Moreover, this bonus will work very well in synergy with the Goblin Shaman ability, making my creatures able to one-shot the majority of enemy monsters.

As monsters my lineup was made up by:

  • Living Lava: very strong tank with 6) health, (2) armor and (4) attack, which can crash in a few hits (more often than not, one hit) every other monster.

  • Goblin Shaman: I like to put him in second position as his health allows him to take some damages before dying, protecting my other monsters with much lower health.

  • Kobold Miner: the Sneak ability makes it ideal at taking down key enemy monsters.

  • Serpentine Spy: similar to Kobold Miner, but with higher damage, lower health (so I put it in third place, hoping it could survive longer) and the Opportunity ability.

  • Fire Elemental: this monster is my favourite Fire card for sure: the Blast ability is simply amazing and allows it to often kill two monsters with one shot only... on the other hand it has very low health, so usually it can't survive more than one attack.

THE BATTLE

Usually I don't like playing against Water, being it one of the strongest element (if not the strongest) in the lower ranks.

However, this time I can say for sure that the one not enjoying the battle was my opponent 😅

The fight started with my creatures crashing half of the enemy team as they were having breakfast.

Thanks to SneakOpportunity and Blast I was able to hit and kill the most vulnerable monsters of my opponent, while my Living Lava, with its huge melee attack, one-shotted the enemy tank, Serpent of Eld.

And the second round wasn't different: the higher speed of my Fire Elemental allowed it to shoot first, killing alone the last two Magic creatures of my opponent.

Then, it was the turn of the Water Elemental, which stared helpless at the fatal blow coming from my Serpentine Spy.

The battle ended in a victory for my team!

POST BATTLE

I wasn't expecting this win, as I'm quite used to lose when facing Water: but this time I was lucky, my monsters didn't start missing hits like they were drunk and the Marlik Inferno-Goblin Shaman combo worked like a charm!

As I didn't lost a single creature I can't find issues or lacks to address, so I'll take this win home and hope for the best for future challenges!
