Grandmaster Rathe: Do Not Understimate Him
Seventh position for the guild and seven wins taken home... the number 7 seems to be everywhere this time!
And after some not so good results, a placement a little higher in the ranking it's good for our morale, giving us a little gratification and lots, lots of merits to buy packs in the shop!
This means a new Gladius card pack with 3 rare cards!
I was missing only Sarius, but the beauty of Splinterlands is that the extra copies of a card are useful for levelling it up.
I'm also always renting more cards than usual - due to the reorganization that my collection is undergoing, with a strong decrease in my overall Collection Power - and in this brawl I was able to use several times Grandmaster Rathe: a legendary Summoner of the Life element who grants 3 different bonuses to your creatures.
The Grandmaster gave a great contribution to my games, helping me getting 3 of the 7 victories I achieved and the first position in the Guild's ranking.
Then we find @cryptomonica, with 5 wins out of 9 games, and three players with 4 wins and 4 defeats: @giuatt07, @sweetunicorn and @libertycrypto27, who shared the third place.
A lot of positive results, therefore, confirming the excellent overall result achieved by the whole Guild!
Finally, we come to the analysis of my games: 8 in total in the Bronze League fray and with Chaos Legion cards.
1° defeat - we start with a bad (but only one, luckily) defeat, with my team that, once again, saw a terrible teamplay among my cards with opportunity: that +1 armor forced my creatures to waste half of their attacks... I must remember that if the opponent can choose Keya this combination is probably not the best one.
1° win - a few brawls ago I suffered a tough defeat due to Edith Emberstar, who proved to be much more effective than my Isgard Vorst... And when I saw the opportunity to show that I learned my lesson, I jumped in and took my first victory!
2° win - Quora Towershead and Queen Mycelia are in themselves a good combo... but if we add the ruleset opportunity and the absence of magic attackers in the opposing formation, the positive result is more than assured.
3° win - extremely balanced game, dominated by creatures with ranged attacks: in the end I won by a few hits, probably thanks to a bit of luck.
4° win - identical formation (but exactly identical!) to the previous one, but this time the victory is clear: my opponent deployed Kelya Frendul as Summoner despite the reverse speed ruleset, thus giving me the advantage of the first attack... every turn... and for each of my creatures! The Grandmaster Rathe took the opportunity to show all of his strength.
5° win - with a ruleset that favored melee creatures, and given the excellent results obtained in previous brawls in similar scenarios, I didn't go for dubious formations, but I immediately chose Tarsa in combo with the Disintegrator: the choice proved to be successful and not even Quora Towershead could stop my advance!
6° win - I spent almost all the time available before convincing myself to use this formation: the gamble was the hope that Captain Katie could manage to eliminate some of the enemy creatures before finding herself alone in the front line under heavy fire... I would say that, therefore, I definitely won this bet, since Katie managed to kill every enemy creature without even getting in first position!
7° win - with the super sneak ruleset in place, deploying so many small creatures in the backlines turned to be a suicide and my Quora Towershead didn't hesitate to get all those easy kills.
A good brawl indeed, full of victories and with some new Gladius cards to enrich my collection.
I'm happy with these results and I hope that it wasn't just luck, but a general improvement in my understanding of the game... I hope to see the EDSF Guild at the top, sooner or later, and I want to give my best for the team!

Settima posizione per la gilda e sette vittorie portate a casa... il 7 sembra essere ovunque a questo giro!
E dopo alcuni risultati più modesti, un piazzamento un po' più in alto nella classifica non può che far bene al morale di tutti i membri, ragalandoci una piccola soddisfazione e tanto, tanto merits da spendere nello shop!
Arriva quindi una nuova bustina di carte Gladius con ben 3 carte rare!
Mi mancava la sola Sarius, ma il bello di Splinterlands è che le copie extra di una carta sono utili per potenziarla, per cui nel complesso rimane un'ottima bustina.
Sto, inoltre, continuando a rentare più carte del solito - anche vista l'opera di riorganizzazione che sta subendo la mia collezione, con una forte diminuzione del mio Collection Power complessivo - e in questa brawl ho avuto modo di usare più volte e con grande soddisfazione il Grandmaster Rathe: un Evocatore leggendario dell'elemento Vita che conferisce 3 diversi bonus alle proprie creature.
Il Granmaestro ha portato un contributo fondamentale alle mie partite, consentendomi di ottenere 3 delle 7 vittorie conquistate e la prima posizione nella classifica della Gilda.
A seguire troviamo @cryptomonica, con 5 vittorie su 9 partite disputate, e poi tre giocatori a pari merito con 4 vittorie e 4 sconfitte: @giuatt07, @sweetunicorn e @libertycrypto27, che si spartiscono il terzo posto.
Un sacco di risultati positivi, perciò, a conferma dell'ottimo risultato generale raggiunto da tutta la Gilda!
Arriviamo, infine, all'analisi delle mie partite: 8 in totale nella fray di livello Bronzo e con carte Chaos Legion.
1° sconfitta - si parte da una brutta (ma unica, per fortuna) sconfitta, con la mia formazione che, ancora una volta, vede un pessimo gioco di squadra fra le mie carte con opportunity: quel +1 di armatura delle creature avversarie fa andare sprecati metà dei miei attacchi... per il futuro devo, quindi, cercare di ricordarmi che se l'avversario può schierare Keya questa combinazione probabilmente non è la scelta migliore.
1° vittoria - qualche brawl fa avevo subito una cocente sconfitta a causa di Edith Emberstar, che si era rivelata molto più efficace del mio Isgard Vorst... prospettandosi uno scenario simile, mi è quindi sembrato giusto dimostrare che ho imparato la lezione e ho colto l'occasione al volo per prendermi la prima vittoria!
2° vittoria - Quora Towershead e Queen Mycelia sono di per sè una buona combo... ma se aggiungiamo il ruleset opportunity e l'assenza di attaccanti magici nella formazione avversaria, il risultato positivo è più che assicurato.
3° vittoria - partita estremamente bilanciata e dominata dalle creature con attacchi a distanza: alla fine la spunto per poco, probabilmente anche grazie ad un pizzico di fortuna.
4° vittoria - formazione identica (ma proprio identica!) alla precedente, ma stavolta la vittoria è netta: il mio avversario schiera Kelya Frendul come Evocatore nonostante il ruleset reverse speed, regalandomi quindi il vantaggio del primo attacco... ad ogni turno... e per ogni mia creatura! Il Grandmaster Rathe ne approfitta per mostrare tutta la sua potenza.
5° vittoria - con in vigore un ruleset che favorisce le creature corpo a corpo, e visti gli ottimi risultati ottenuti nelle precedenti brawl in scenari simili, non mi arrischio in formazioni fantasiose, ma vado subito di Tarsa in combo con il Disintegrator: la scelta si dimostra vincente, e nemmeno Quora Towershead riesce ad arrestare la mia avanzata!
6° vittoria - ho impiegato quasi tutto il tempo a disposizione prima di convincermi ad usare questa formazione: l'azzardo era sperare che Captain Katie riuscisse ad eliminare qualcuna delle creature nelle retrovie avversarie prima di ritrovarsi da sola in prima linea sotto il fuoco di quelle rimaste... direi che, perciò, posso dire di averla decisamente vinta questa scommessa, dato che Katie è riuscita ad eliminare ogni creatura nemica senza nemmeno finire in prima posizione.
7° vittoria - partita vinta più per una probabile disattenzione del mio avversario che altro: con il ruleset super sneak in vigore, schierare tante creature piccole nelle retrovie si rivela un suicidio e la mia Quora Towershead non esita a fare incetta di kills facili.
Si conclude così un'ottima brawl, ricca di vittorie ed accompagnata da nuove carte Gladius con cui arricchire la mia collezione.
Sono contento di questi risultati e spero che non si tratti solo di fortuna, ma di un generale miglioramento della mia comprensione del gioco... spero di vedere la Gilda EDSF in vetta alla classifica, prima o poi, per cui voglio cercare di dare un contributo sempre più grande e costante al team.
