Slavery can broadly be described as the ownership, buying and selling of human beings for the purpose of forced and unpaid labour. Everyone agrees that slavery is wrong and unethical. Here are some reasons why slavery is wrong and immoral;

1. Slavery increases total human unhappiness.

2. Slavery violates human rights: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.

3. Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

4. Slavery raises discrimination, racism, gender inequity and child abuse.
