Female Education

Once Napoleon said, Give me an educated mother, I will give you a good nation. This very statement proves, how important female education is. Woman are the half of our total population. so female education is badly necessary to make half of our population literate in a balanced way. Once a time female education was seriously neglected in Bangladesh. Our woman folk could not get the chance of education for various problem. Early marriage and the narrowness of our outlook were mainly responsible for this. parents thought it waste of time and money to educated their girls. they want their girls to be confined to the kitchen only and perform household chores and look after the members of the family. They did not allow them to move freely and to participate in any outside work. They do not understand that if girls children are educated they can be as competent as male children, can became a good house manager, a good mother at home, and even a good officer outside. Education for girls up to degrees level has been made free with a monthly stipend. this encourages them to continue their education. We should remember that only educated women can change the picture of our society.
