Family is the main education of children

Today I have to go to the hospital because it's time for my mother to check up, my daughter happened to insist to come.

After arriving at the hospital my daughter was not allowed to enter because it is a hospital regulation that children under 15 years old are prohibited from entering, we go out, did not to accompany my mother to the doctor, fortunately there was a father who accompanied her.

Finally we stopped at a small super market to buy some snacks, while waiting for my mother to finish checking up. As usual, when my daughter buys something, she always remembers her older brother. of course I agree.

One of the things I like about them is that they always treat each other well, even though when they are together they often fight, meaning they fight because they are joking, not fighting like adults. :)

That's what my wife and I always teach our children, teach and model kindness, especially doing good to family members. because the family is the first education for children.

As we know that the educational process can occur in three environments namely family, school, and community. The following is the educational process in three environments:

1. Family environment

The first environment that has a role is the family environment, this is where children are born, cared for, and raised. This is where the education process begins, parents are the first and foremost teachers for children. Parents are the first religious, language and social teachers for children.

Parents are the first to teach children to speak by teaching children to say other words. Parents are the first to teach children to socialize with the surrounding environment. The process of life in a family is the first learning process for children before they enter the wider environment, namely school and society.

Parents, especially mothers, because a mother who usually has more time with her children at home, can be a good teacher for her children, and a mother is able to direct, guide, and develop her child's potential to the fullest.

2. School environment

In order for children's potential to be more developed and directed, children get guidance and direction from teachers in schools as formal educational institutions. The teacher's job here is to help parents to guide and develop their children's potential to be more focused. Here children are taught and guided by teachers, and children interact with their peers.

3. Community environment

Furthermore, the child will enter the social environment, namely society. The maturity of children to enter the community can not be separated from the role of parents. Of course, parents have prepared their children to enter the community, at school also children have learned to live socially by interacting with their friends.

Because of the importance of family education, I put the family environment first.

From the description, it can be seen that the starting point of the formation of a child's personality is parents. These three environments must be able to work together and support each other for maximum results in shaping the personality of a good child. Such conditions place parents as the first and foremost teachers for their children in informal education programs that occur in the family environment.
