Besides increasing or decreasing the levels of ozone (O3) in the upper atmosphere (Most atmospheric ozone is concentrated in a layer in the stratosphere, about 9 to 18 miles (15 to 30 km) above the Earth's surface (see the figure below). Ozone is a molecule that contains three oxygen atoms.), some of the chemicals also contribute directly to the greenhouse effect. For example, added water vapor pumped into the upper atmosphere from the chimney increases the amount of energy trapped there, in turn heating the planet further.

Chimney

When some things are burnt these burnt things produce the smoke while there are some vertical pipes which are being used to escape the smoke these vertical pipes are called chimneys .

This carbon dioxide is the major cause of the depletion of the ozone layer

Green House Effect

Carbon dioxide also plays in green house effect. While green house is define as the increase in the temperature of the environment .

When these gases gather around the atmosphere these gases molecules started destroying the molecules of the ozone layers and the layer of the ozone become weaker and started destroying . There is a point where the layer of the ozone layer is weak there becomes a hole that is call Black hole.

At that weak point of the ozone layer ultra violet radiation can pass throw easily
