Uniswap (UNI) is a protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain that allows users to swap ERC20 tokens without the use of an order book: by using an algorithmic equation, UNI is able to automatically determine the exchange-rate based on available liquidity and demand for the digital asset(s).
Trust Wallet is an easy-to-use, multi-crypto wallet that can connect with and swap assets over almost any decentralized exchange (DEX). Trust Wallet’s server-free infrastructure ensures security in that only YOU have access to your funds. Simply follow this tutorial if only for convenience, and you'll find all the necessary steps to connecting the Uniswap dApp with Trust Wallet for a seamless, user-friendly experience!
Method #1 – Using the Dapp browser on Android
In your Trust Wallet, press the four squares at the bottom of the screen, and then scroll down to Exchanges.
Click on Uniswap. The exchange will appear within a few seconds and the wallet should be detected automatically.
From here, swapping is simple: first, select the cryptocurrency you’d like to spend, followed by the crypto you’d like to receive.
Enter the amount required for the swap and, once you’re happy with your choice, click Swap.
You’ll be shown a confirmation of the transaction (tx) and if everything appears correct, click Confirm.
If you have a password/lock code set, you’ll be required to enter it.
Once you approve the transaction, your tokens are then sent to the blockchain to be processed.
The changes will be reflected in your wallet after several confirmations, and this generally takes no more than a few minutes, so long as adequate gas fees were provided.
Method #2 – Using Trust Wallet connect
For this method, you’ll need two devices: one with the Trust Wallet app installed and another device with access to the internet, like a tablet or computer.
Once on your computer or tablet, head to the Uniswap exchange.
Click Connect Wallet, followed by Wallet Connect.
Next, open the settings in your Trust Wallet and click Wallet Connect.
Scan the QR code on the computer screen - the wallet should then connect to your browser.
Now, select the cryptocurrency you’d like to spend/swap in the drop-down list, followed by the crypto you’d like to receive.
Finally, enter the amount you'd like to trade and once you’re happy with your choice, click Swap.
You’ll be shown a confirmation of the transaction (tx), and if everything appears correct, click Confirm.
Once approved, the tx is submitted to the blockchain for processing and the changes will be reflected in your wallet momentarily - happy swapping!
