Basketball it is one of the most famous sports all over the planet from Micahel Jordan as the most popular basketball player and considered as the GOAT Greatest of all Time up to now to LeBron James as the best player of basketball now in the planet.

For the Philippines basketball is a religion to mostly of the 109 million population of the country may it be boy or girl for us Filipino's basketball is also life. Baketball was first introduced in the Philippines by the Americans and as it grows to become a national competition for sports.

The NCAA is one of the sporting events in some Collegiate competitions in the Philippines which basketball is their main event is established in 1924. Before the reign of our asian country counterparts like China, Korea and Iran The Philippines is one of the first Asian Power house team in the World Competition as prove to that when the Philippine debut in the Olympics Basketball event in 1936 they managed to finished fifth place and as of now stands in the history book as the best finished by an Asian Team.

In 1938 the first commercial league in the country was launched the Manila Industrial and Commercial Athletics Association. They also won the gold medal in the first basketball event in Asian Games . The Philippines is the most dominant country in basketball in Asian Events until early 60's. The Philippines also won a bronze medal in the 1954 FIBA World Baketball Championships in Brazil which for the record is the best finish in the history by any asian country in the event which led by Philippines Basketball Legend Carlos Loyzaga.

And then the PBA or Philippine Basketball Association was born in 1975 as the becoming Asia's first pro basketball league which is until now is continuing their season only now stopped because of the Covid 19 Pandemic that is some of the history of Basketball here in our country the Philippines where basketball is a religion.
