Control your Emotion

I just want to share the story of Wynne Arboleda a former Professional Basketball player in the here in the Philippines. Arboleda standing at 5'11 is a native in Kalibo Aklan. His started his career in Basketball career in the defunct league Metropolitan Basketball Association as a member of the Laguna Lakers way back in 1999. After that he decided to enter the 2000 PBA draft but became undrafted but luckily for him was sign by the Pop Cola Panthers on that same year. He also played for other teams in the PBA like the Tanduay Rhum Masters, Barako Bull Energy and the Air21 express then later change their franchise name to NLEX Road Warriors where he retired and finished his playing careers 2016. While he's playing in the PBA he's monicker is "The Snatcher" because he was very good on stealing the ball from their opponent a prove to that is when he was honored 2 times as the Defensive player of the Year in 2006 and 2009.

But it's not about his award or playing career's is the reason why i featured him in this article in this community it is about one incident that he will never change for the rest of his life. It was October 16, 2009 when his team Burger King face against Smart Gilas team in Araneta Coliseum in Cubao. In the middle of the second quarter of that game he was been called by the referee for an flagrant foul against Marc Baracael of the opposing team. With the surprised of every people on the coliseum they saw Arboleda attacked a paying fans who is watching that time on the sidelines, he throw a couple of kicks and punches to the surprised guy and will maybe get more assault if Arboleda has not been stopped by the security.

Then after 3 days he was called by the PBA Commissioner office and was been suspended for the rest of the 2009 to 2010 PBA Season and 1 game with out pay. And then later facing a case by his victim Mr. Katigbak and he was also fined for 20,000 Pesos for what he committed and was also black listed for attending anyPBA games during his suspension time. After more than a year he was then allowed to play in a PBA games and Mr. Katigbak did not continue the case that was filed against him.

When he was asked what is the reason why he did it and hes explanation is that he is very focused on the game and then after he heard profane words from Mr. Katigbak that saying very bad words that also said bad about his mother. And due to what he heard he losses his control and did not able to control his emotions that's why he do such a thing like that. He said that he really really sorry for what he did at that time and if only he could turn back the hands of time he will never do it. And he is regretting it for the rest of his life.

He said he learned a lot of lesson from that forgettable experience that you must learn to control your emotion and times like that, that you must think twice or at least thrice before you do a thing. And as Player you must not only be physically ready but also mentally and emotionally, And what happen to him also inspires him in life to never to do such a thing like that in his life now which he is a happily married man with two kids and a lovely wife which is the daughter of Mr. Bert Lina which is the owner of his former team AIR21 i hope it motivates some people here in the community to learn to control our emotion in every situation of our life thank you.
