10,129 total: 12 more Filipinos abroad with COVID-19

More than 12 Filipinos abroad have contracted coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to 10,129, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday. As many as 6,323 people are recovering after the addition of 42 Filipinos overseas, while the death toll has increased by five, causing up to 763 Filipinos to have lost their lives abroad. About 3,043 patients are currently recovering. In the Middle East / Africa region, the number of Filipinos infected with COVID-19 is still recorded at 6,986 where 4,170 were cured and 482 were killed. In Europe, 1,168 Filipino COVID-19 cases were recorded, including 837 recoveries and 95 deaths. In the Asia Pacific region, 1,177 overseas Filipinos became infected with COVID-19, 860 recovered while eight died. In the Americas the lowest number of COVID-19-positive Filipinos was recorded at 798 with 456 recoveries and 178 deaths
