What first comes to your mind when you hear the word "mental"?

You think madness first, yeah? The walking-naked-and-eating-garbage-on-the-street madness? And you're saying to yourself right now that this post doesnt concern you? Well, I thought to remind you that many are mad but just a few are roaming.

That being said, I'll tell you why this post concerns you. These guys roaming the streets, I mean the ones you're already saying "that could never be me". How do you think it started? They slept sane and woke up on the streets? No.

I'll tell you how these things could have started and I'll also tell you for free what could be worse than Physical stress. Mental stress. Yes, you heard right?

Mental stress is a form of stress that occurs because of how events in one's external of internal environment are perceived resulting in the psychological experience of distress and anxiety. Guys, it all starts from here.

Mental stress can be caused by changes at work, illness, accidents, problems with relationships, family, money or housing. Etc. Even seemingly small daily hassles like someone pushing in a queue can make us feel stressed.

Symptoms of mental stress include:

°Depression or general unhappiness

°Lonliness and isolation

°Anxiety and agitation

°Unexplained moodswings, irritability or anger

°Insomnia

°Hallucinations

°Feeling overwhelmed etc

However, we can relive these stress by

°Exercising as often as possible

°Keeping a positive attitude

°Seeking social support

°Eating healthy

°Getting enough rest and sleep

°Accepting that there are events that you cannot control

°Learn to practice relaxation techniques, trying meditation or Yoga

° Do not rely on alcohol, drugs or compulsive behaviours to reduce stress

°Seeking treatment with a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist.

Let your mantra forever be "Bad energy stay far away from me" and while at this, ensure too that you are not bad energy to the person next to you😁
