In her latest vlog, 24-year-old Ivana Alawi disguised herself as a homeless person and went around the city asking strangers for money so she could ~go back to her family~. Most of the people she approached gave her what small amount they could spare, and in exchange for their kindness, Ivana multiplied that amount by a thousand and gave it to them.
One encounter that made a big impact on her was with a kind street vendor named Joselito Martinez. He gave Ivana P20, offered her kutsinta for meryenda, and said he would buy her soft drinks from a nearby store. He made small talk with her and even allowed her to call him "Tatay."
In the middle of their conversation, Ivana burst into tears and revealed that it was all a "prank." She then gave him P20,000! Mr. Martinez, who was visibly shocked, also cried. He said the money was a huge help to him because he would be able to buy a bike with it—to make selling taho easier.
At the end of her video, Ivana told viewers: "Sobrang bait niya, sana marami pang tumulad sa kanya. Iba talaga ang Pinoy at may pag-asa pa rin tayo. Sa mga nagsasabing hindi tayo uunlad, uunlad tayo." Ivana added that they will look for Mr. Martinez and help him even more.
