Some video images have appeared in which they are seen inviting some young women to the hotel after the victory of England
Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden could face disciplinary action after video footage surfaced of them allegedly inviting young women into their rooms after England's victory over Iceland in Reykjavik on Saturday in a Nations League match.
The images came to light on Icelandic outlet DV after the girls shared the videos on Snapchat on Sunday. Like the entire England team, Greenwood and Foden, who made their international debut in a 1-0 win, were subject to strict COVID-19 health protocols to avoid quarantine rules. These include not meeting anyone outside the England team and staff during the team's stay in Iceland
England will face Denmark on Tuesday and coach Gareth Southgate is expected to speak about Greenwood and Foden's apparent lack of discipline at a press conference on Monday. Both face being ruled out for Tuesday's clash.
According to the Daily Mail, both players were absent from training on Monday. Reuters reached out to the Football Association for comment, but has yet to respond.
It is the latest off-field incident involving an England player in recent weeks, after a Greek court handed Harry Maguire a prison sentence after being charged with various charges after an alleged fight during a family vacation at the Mykonos island.
