Until 1958, the law of Dhaka University was that if a boy wanted to talk to a girl, he had to apply to the proctor. He can speak only if the proctor allows. Also not. Not even with any girl in his class.

December 1926, just 7 years after the establishment of Dhaka University. One day a young man came from Kolkata. Visit Dhaka University. He went out with some friends. Curzon Hall was then the science building. As they turned and came to the front of Curzon Hall, the young man saw in the distance a girl in a three-quarter sleeveless blouse and cotton sari. He asked his friends, who is this girl? Then her friends said, this is the first Muslim female student of Dhaka University. Then the young man says, really? I'll talk to this girl. Then he went a little further to talk to the young girl and her friends tied her up. Say, no, you don't go. We are not allowed to talk to girls in the university. If you talk to him without permission, you will be punished. The young man said, "I don't mind any restrictions, I don't care about any law." The young man walked and stood in front of the girl. Then he said, I heard you are the first Muslim female student of this university. What's your name The girl bowed her head and said, Fazilatunnesa. Asked, what subject do you study? Said, in mathematics. Where is the village house? #Tangail_kortia. Where do you live in Dhaka? Siddique Bazar. This time the young man said, you are the first Muslim female student of Dhaka University, I am very excited to talk to you. I will come to see you this evening. The girl left. All this was watching away from Assistant Proctor Sir. Exactly three days later.
