Hajjah al-Mansuri, the first astronaut in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has finally arrived in space with the Holy Quran.
The hour arrives at the International Space Station (ISS). Meanwhile, Mansuri and other crew members entered the ISS on Thursday morning, September 26, UAE time. He was the first Emirati and Arab to travel in space. It is known that he will stay in ISS for eight days.
Along with other international astronauts, he will take part in multiple scientific experiments. Meanwhile, the former UAE Army pilot Hajja was given a 10 kg bag by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center before leaving for space.
The bag contains a copy of the Holy Quran, a 100 percent silk UAE flag, 30 seeds of the Al Ghaf tree, a portrait of the country's founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and a copy of the biography of Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The bag also contains three traditional dishes of the country namely Ma'druba, Saluna and Balalit and some personal items including pictures of Mansuri's family members.
