Greece's education minister said on Tuesday that Greek schools would reopen on September 14. These educational institutions are being reopened a week after the scheduled time for students to return to school from long vacations due to coronavirus. Wearing masks will be mandatory in classrooms and on school buses and in crowded areas, according to AFP. Students will be given free masks. Education Minister Nicky Kerameus told a news conference that classrooms and equipment would be disinfected on a regular basis. Officials have already said that about 5 million masks will be given to students and staff. "As part of the extra security measures, free water bottles will be provided to every primary school child," he said. It will be suspended and lessons will be taken in turns to avoid crowding in the classroom. Earlier, the government had announced plans to reopen the school on September 6.
