Sorry, I believe there is no such thing as depression. Everything is evil in your mind. Those of you who suffer from depression and forget the religion-world-hereafter all worship Satan in one way or another. If not, how do you commit suicide?
I don't believe in the rumors you hear about depression.
Amazon Khadija (ra) was the daughter of a very rich family. It is normal to grow up in luxury.
When other tribes besieged the Quraish because of the Prophet's preaching of Islam, the children of the Prophet and Amazan Khadija, the tribe, had to suffer for two and a half years.
He even ate up the leaves of the tree in hunger.
Can you still tell me the story of your depression?
Hazrat Bilal (ra) was an Abyssinian slave.
For the crime of accepting Islam, he was left in the desert sun, his body fat melted. Even then, peace was on his face, the radiance of the sun was defeated by the radiance of his blackness.
Can you still tell me the story of your depression?
Imam Ibn Taymiyyah spent eight years in prison. The prisoner died.
But what did he say, you know? Said, there is a paradise in the world, I have found that paradise in my heart.
Do you still tell stories of your depression ?? How do you still do these ridiculous thoughts? Even after seeing so much?
Allah, Islam, faith and depression cannot coexist in one heart. If you have the slightest bit of depression in your mind, it means that there is no God in your heart, but Satan has settled there.
If a Muslim admits to depression, it's time to think about your faith. This time many people will come and say, you don't understand my situation, my family problem, money problem, husband problem ..... Hey brother stop !!
Which situation do you tell the story of? Wife not good? Lot's wife was not good either. Who knows who was the husband of Hazrat Asiya (a)? Pharaoh.
Pharaoh was cut into pieces and dipped in hot oil for disobeying God.
Hear more? Nothing is happening even after trying, so depression?
Prophet Noah (peace be upon him) was able to accept the invitation of eighty people for almost a thousand years.
Did your relatives hurt you? Slandered?
Joseph's brothers threw him into a well and left. The businessman's wife Zuleka was sentenced to seven years in prison for not committing adultery.
Will you still tell me the story of any situation?
Too much to say? Well I keep quiet. Let's see what the Quran says-
When Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) reached old age, a group of angels came from Allah and gave him the good news of a wise son. In a voice full of wonder, Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) asked: I am getting old, are you still giving me this good news ?! On what basis are you giving this good news? The angels said, "We are telling the truth." I am giving you true good news. Let old age touch you, you will have children at this old age. You will not go to the party of the despairing. The Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) replied to them, "Who can despair of the mercy of his Lord except the misguided?" (See Surah Al-Hijr, verses 53-56)
Those who despair of God's mercy are called misguided !! Will you still tell me stories of depression?
Wait, wait, listen to another story-
The most beloved child of Hazrat Yaqub (as) was Hazrat Yusuf (as). But his brothers could not easily accept his father's caress, so one day they took him away from his father and threw him into a well.
Rising from the well by the infinite might of God, one day he became in charge of Egypt's treasures. And the brethren that conspired against him, being hungry, came unto him to fetch food. Then he tricked his brother Benjamin into leaving him.
Having lost two sons, the father of Hazrat Yaqub (as) said to the other sons, (Translation) ‘O my sons! Go and look for Joseph and his brother. Do not despair of God's mercy. Know for sure that no one can despair of Allah's mercy except the disbelievers. '- Surah Yusuf (12):
Read the last line again !!
Not only that, it is a sin for poets to be depressed by the mercy of Allah.
Take this hadith-
The famous Companion Hazrat Abdullah bin Masud. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to him, ‘Habru hazihil ummah’ - the learned man of this ummah. He said, ‘The greatest sin of the poets is to associate partners with Allah, to be free from the grip of Allah and to despair of the mercy of Allah.
(Musannafe Abdur Razzaq, Hadith 19801)
Playing music or movies, books can not relieve you from depression. The only cure for depression is to return to God. When your devil tells you that you are in a lot of trouble, there is no one who is in more trouble than you, then Allah says-
There is relief with hardship. Of course there is relief with hardship. [Surah Al-Inshirah (94): 5-6]
Abu Saeed Khudri agreed. According to a narration, the Prophet (peace be upon him) Abu Umama agreed. Who said, "Shall I not teach you a sentence, if you recite it, then Allah will take away your worries and arrange for the recovery of your debt?" The narrator said- I said, yes, O Messenger of Allah! Teach me that. He said, "You will recite in the morning and in the afternoon."
God is the One, the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful.
(Meaning: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from being anxious and depressed. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from being incapable and lazy. I seek refuge in You more from being stingy and cowardly. O Allah! I am Your I seek refuge from the excesses of debt and the unjust domination and domination of men.)
Abu Umama agreed. Said, I read these two. In this way, Allah removed all my worries and arranged for the repayment of the loan.
The person who loves, fears and trusts in God can have no reason to be depressed, all tests for him!
Return to God.
Come back to the Quran. The heart that has the love of the Most Gracious, the heart that has God in it, cannot have depression in its heart.
By no means.
