It's an area that measures approximately 1600 to 1800 km on a side, and a surface area of 1.1 million km and has the shape of an equilateral triangle that is formed from 3 geographical areas that are the Bermuda Island, Puerto Rico and Miami. The term was created in 1953 by several writers who published articles in magazines about the supposed dangerousness of the area. However, the surrounding area, especially the coast of the Carolinas, was already known for its many shipwrecks to the point of being called "The Cemetery of the Atlantic." In addition, large waves have been recorded in that area, which explains the fear generated by it. This famous triangle holds a lot of mystery, since in this area hundreds of ships have disappeared for a long time and it is unknown if they were aware of this triangle in ancient times. In this area under its deep waters there are innumerable vessels of all kinds, whether modern or old, planes of different sizes, and it is said that there are more than 80 planes under these waters. Above all, the most mysterious thing is the disappearance of the people who boarded these boats, since the remains of the crew were never found. Vessels traveling to Europe continually passed through this area to take advantage of the prevailing winds and the Gulf Stream. Then, with the development of steam engines and ships with internal combustion engines, much of the North Atlantic traffic continued to cross through the area. The Gulf Stream has a superficial movement of ocean waters that brings with it a very unstable weather due to hurricanes, it also passes through the triangle when leaving the Caribbean Sea. The combination of heavy maritime traffic and stormy weather may account for most of the alleged disappearances. Other areas that are often hinted to possess unusual characteristics include: The Dragon Triangle or Triangle of Death, known by those two names located in the Devil's Sea, near Japan. It is only known in the literature about the Bermuda Triangle. In Japan it is not known because most of the lost boats are small fishing boats without radio. The Marysburgh Vortex located east of Lake Ontario between the United States and Canada.

One of the enigmatic mysteries was in 1918 and has to do with a ship of the United States Navy, a USS Cyclops, which disappeared in this area and there were approximately 306 people on board, Not related to combat occurred when the Cyclops chickadee , carrying a full load of manganese ore and with one engine out of service, disappeared without a trace with a crew of 309 sometime after March 4, 1918 after departing from the island of Barbados. and above all the passengers were never found, the strangest thing is that they never asked for help and the last message the Cyclops base received was "there is good weather, everything is fine". The Cyclops Ship was lost without a trace. Additionally, two of Cyclops' sister ships, Proteus and Nereus, were subsequently lost in the North Atlantic during World War II. Both ships were carrying heavy loads of metallic ore similar to that loaded onto Cyclops during their voyage. In all three cases, structural failure due to overload with a much denser load than designed is considered the most likely cause of subsidence.

In 1945, a crew of 5 planes that belonged to the United States Navy, flew over this area, a few hours passed and the planes never arrived at the base. Not being able to communicate with them and especially not seeing their location on the radar, the armed force decided to send a sixth plane, a rescue plane. The plane reached the area where the 5 planes were flying overhead, but it did not return to the naval base either. They only obtained a very short communication with the sixth plane with 13 men on board, before reaching the area where the planes were lost, the pilot mentioned that he did not know his course, he could not return to the base, he was lost and the sea it looked very strange. Communication was cut off abruptly and it was never known what happened to the 6 planes that flew over this mysterious area, approximately 27 people were on board the 6 planes and all of them disappeared without a trace.
