Sheila is studying hard for her final exams in Kibera, an informal settlement in Nairobi, Kenya. Each week, her teacher sends lessons to her mother’s phone. It’s every child’s right to an education, yet half of students in sub-Saharan Africa are unable to access remote learning due to COVID-19.

UNICEF is working with governments to make sure that when schools reopen, they reopen better - and provide additional support to the most marginalized children.
