Plants of love

The meeting place of the bridesmaids Malvar and Rosa is a big tree. In its shadow they speak. Beside the tree is a fine work of stone adobe. The debris of the well is almost equal to the ground. Children should not stand or play next to it.

One day, in April, Malvar saw many fruits. The dark skin of roses shines. For a boy! Malvar goes up to Rosa when he meets her. Many ripe shoots at the ends of the twigs. Just as Malvar wanted to take it, he fell into a bruised branch. He continued to fall into the well. He lost consciousness. So, even though the water in the well was shallow, Malvar drowned.

Rosa arrives immediately. He used to find Malvar who was always ahead of him. Why isn't he there now? He saw many creatures scattered on the ground. Looks like a new pick. He looked up. Nobody went up.

"I'll take it," Rosa said to herself. "It's juicy and sweet."

She first took a banana leaf. When his hands are full, he places the stems on the banana leaf. Some ducks fell by the well. Rosa approached. As he stooped to pick fruits he noticed the man at the bottom of the well.

"My Lord!" he shouted, "Malvar! Malvar!" He was dying. Unfortunately, at the mouth of the well Rosa's body collapsed.

When the two did not return home, their relatives and neighbors searched. The next day the bodies were discovered. There they were buried in a well. The ground filled the well.

About a year later, a plant sprouted out of the well. There are no flowers but the leaves are fragrant.

"Malvar and Rosa were resurrected," said those who knew what had happened, "They became plants."

The plant is called Malvarosa. Its fragrant leaves are blended with pinks glued to the bride's dress.
