A story was told of a woman who staged a contest for two of her sons. Walking as fast as they could, she wanted to see who get to the tape first.
Her younger Son in blind haste carried his left foot first as he made to move. Expectedly, he wobbled and tripped just seconds later. By the time he got himself up, his elder brother had reached the tape.
In Life, there is a natural order for everything. It is natural for the left foot to fall behind the right one during movement just like the cart is not placed before the horse.
Similarly, there is an order in man's relationship with God. Just as proper mobility is impaired when you get off on the wrong foot, seeking the good things of life without first seeking the Giver of those things Is like leaving a substance and chasing its shadows. It will only bring frustration and vexation of Spirit.
in Matthew 6:31-33
admonishes "Therefore take no thought, saying what shall we eat? or what shall we drink? Or, wherewithal shall we be clothed?.... But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, AND ALL THESE THINGS shall be added unto You"
This is a simple but often ignored formula for success, Riches, Abundance, and Fulfillment in life.
So, how do you seek the Kingdom of God? You Seek to belong to the Kingdom through repentance from Sin and Yielding of your life to God.
